Brake Discs Sinter
1. Cast Iron DiscsIn cooperation with universities and metallurgical laboratories, Sinter has developed a new carbon-containing gray cast iron (GJL 250), which offers an up to 20% higher coefficient of friction compared to conventional gray cast iron.
A special gray cast iron disc with a thin ceramic layer was developed. These brake discs not only offer a high modulation and friction coefficient, but also have almost no wear, similar to the MMC discs.
2. MMC DiscsThe new composite material for brake discs called MMC (Metal Matrix Composite) is three times lighter than cast iron. This means that the kart accelerates faster, brakes faster and turns faster into the corner (less weight, less swing of the brake discs).
They may only be used with the special green sintered 2032 brake pads. Never use any other brake pads in combination with MMC brake discs. This will destroy the MMC brake disc immediately!
